Daily activity:
Thursday 18th: water temp 81.5 S 17-20mph in the a.m. / 82.6 SW 810mph. The water was dark Bay water and began to deteriorate as the day progressed. The morning started with a good bite. There were Spanish Mackerel, Bonita, Jack Crevalle and King Mackerel caught. Brenda, Wayne, his son Wilson and Brad were some of the lucky anglers to put Jack Crevalle on the deck. They were all about the same size as the one Brenda caught which weighed 22.4 pounds. Two “schoolie” King Mackerel were brought to the gaff. Austin and Caleb were the lucky anglers to get Kings. The afternoon was windy with rough surf. There were a few Bonita and Spanish caught and then in the late afternoon the Ladyfish and Hardtails came in thick. Several schools of Tarpon passed the pier but there were no hook ups before I left at 5:00pm. Live bait was available, but you had to work for it.



Friday: water temp 81.9 SSW 15-23mph in the a.m. / 84.0 N 5-13mph in the p.m. The water was rough with the high wind. The clarity was dirty with a lot of floating grass. One Jack Crevalle was caught this morning by Allan S. Ranger is holding it for us to see. There were Hardtails, small Angle fish and a few Catfish the remainder of the day.
Saturday: water temp 82.4 SSW 2-5mph in the a.m. / 85.6 W 9-13mph in the p.m. The water was still dingy on the end and dirty in the shallows. It was a slow day. Very little bait around.
Sunday: water temp 82.6 WSW 10-12mph in the a.m. / 83.8 SW 10-12mph wind in the p.m. The water was clearing on the end but still dingy in the shallows. There were a few Bonita and Spanish Mackerel caught. Angle fish and Hardtails were caught. Cigar minnows began to come back in.
Monday: water temp 82.8 SW 12-16mph in the a.m. / 4.2.3 SW 10-14mph in the p.m. The water was dingy and full of floating sargassum seaweed. There were a few Spanish Mackerel, Bonita, Hardtails and Ladyfish caught. A Tarpon was hooked in the afternoon. Danny caught three Pompano in the shallows. Live bait was difficult to get.
Tuesday: water temp 84.4 W 15-20mph in the a.m. / 85.8 W 14-18mph in the p.m. The water was a little dingy and full of sargassum seaweed at the end. The shallow water was dirty and full of weeds. There were lots of small Bonita caught. Good sized Spanish Mackerel were decked on the end Tee. Hardtails and Ladyfish were caught from the first Tee almost to the end Tee. One Pompano was caught by Shawn. Cigar minnows were schooled up on the west side of the pier. Several schools of Tarpon passed but none were hooked before I left at 5:00.
Wednesday 17th: water temp 82.0 N 6-9mph in the a.m. / 84.7 W 9-12mph in the p.m. The water was dark with some floating seaweed. The shallow water was dirty. There were three small Kings caught very early in the morning by 05:30. A few Spanish Mackerel, Bonita, Hardtails and Ladyfish were caught throughout the day. Tommy L. caught a 23.5-pound Jack Crevalle midafternoon. Danny got a nice Pompano about 5:00pm.

Red Tide status: In Northwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was not observed.
