Daily activity:


Thursday 05th.: water temp 63.9 ESE 8-12mph in the a.m. / 66.0 SE 5-7mph in the p.m. The water was clean outside of the sand bar and silty from there to the beach. There were a couple of Bluefish and one Flounder that Noah caught. Rob got a Sheepshead. Phillip got two legal Spanish Mackerel. The Squid bite was very slow.

 

 


 

Friday: water temp 65.7 SE 7-11mph in the a.m. / 68.7 SE 7-10mph in the p.m. then N just before sunset. The water was clean. There were Squid but the bite was slow. There were a couple of Bluefish and Flounder caught. Late in the afternoon Phillip M and Jack decked Red Drum. Both fish were over-slot and had to go back. Phillip’s fish was only ½ inch over.

 

 


 

Saturday: water temp 67.1 E 5-10mph in the a.m. / 68.9 SE 8-10mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were Bonita, Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Anglers had several coolers full of Bonita as the bite was insane. Speedos came in and the Squid were biting.

 

 


 

 

 

Sunday: water temp 68.4 SE 10-13mph in the a.m. / 68.0 WNW 9-11mph wind in the p.m. The water was clean. It was a repeat of yesterday. The Bonita bite was hot. Again, anglers left with coolers overflowing. A few anglers just quit fishing for them due to exhaustion. There were also some Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

 

 


 

Monday: water temp 67.5 NNE 3-6mph in the a.m. / 69.6 SW 2-5mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Schools of Ballyhoo were coming through. There were a few Bonita in the early morning. Paul D got a 17 ¾ inch Flounder midafternoon. Squid were thick late evening, even in the shallows.

 

 


Tuesday: water temp 68.4 ENE 3-5mph in the a.m. / 71.4 S 4-7mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Fog was dominant almost all day. There were a few Bonita caught very early in the morning. Squid were caught early morning and a few during the day. They turned on just before sunset and were caught from the end Tee all the way to the beach 


Wednesday 11th.: water temp 70.0 SE 7-10mph in the a.m. / 71.1 SE 8-11mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were a few Squid early in the day and then a lot just before and after sunset. Only a few Bluefish were caught.


Red Tide status: INorthwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was observed at background concentrations in Walton and Bay counties.
